Todd Glander, Becker County Sheriff's Office
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO) – Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander says he won’t seek re-election at the end of his current term.
Glander has served Becker County for 38 years. He has been the sheriff for the past 11 years after being elected to the position for three terms.
“The decision to retire at the end of this term did not come without hours of prayer, reflection, and heartfelt discussions with my wife. I have been blessed to serve this county since 1988,” Glander said.
Reflecting on his career, Glander says he has held high expectations of respect and professionalism from his staff. Adding, those expectations will continue to remain unwavering.
“I have had the privilege of serving with outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exemplary acts of courage, bravery, and honor, and continue to go above and beyond the call of duty. These exceptional professionals, Deputies, Communications Officers, Corrections Officers, Administrative Support Staff, Bailiffs, and Courthouse Security, continue to perform at the highest level and remain committed to serving you, the residents of Becker County,” Glander said in a social media post.
Glander says he will retire at the conclusion of his term next January and thanked everyone for supporting law enforcement and him on his personal journey.
