FARGO (KFGO) – First Step Recovery, a program of The Village Family Service Center, is expanding its substance use treatment services with the launch of a new Adolescent Addiction Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
The program is designed to support teens ages 14–17 whose alcohol or drug use is impacting their daily lives, relationships, and overall well-being.
First Step Recovery’s Program Director says Adolescent IOP provides structured care while allowing teens to remain connected to school, family, and community.
“Our goal is to meet teens where they are and provide meaningful support that strengthens not just the individual, but the entire family,” said Tonya Sorenson, Program Director for First Step Recovery. “Adolescence is a critical time, and early intervention can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. This program offers hope, healing, and practical tools for long-term recovery.”
Enrollment for the Adolescent IOP is now open. The program starts on Feb. 1 at The Village’s Fargo location, 2701 12th Ave. S.
The Village says most insurance plans are accepted and First Step Recovery also accepts the North Dakota Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Voucher, helping reduce barriers to care for families.
