ST. PAUL, Minn. – Gov. Tim Walz is proclaiming Friday as a Day of Unity in honor and remembrance of Renee Good of Minneapolis.
The governor is asking Minnesotans to pause for a moment of silence at 10 a.m. to remember Good and also all that is good and right about the United States. He’s encouraging people to find a way to contribute to their community and participate in acts of service.
Good, 37, was shot in her vehicle by an ICE agent on Wednesday in south Minneapolis.
Walz is calling on Minnesotans to continue to protest peacefully.
