A baby rests inside a Christmas stocking at Sanford's Family Birth Center on Dec. 22, 2025.
FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – Newborn babies at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo took part in their first holiday season as the most adorable stocking stuffers.
Nurses at Sanford Family Birth Center dressed up the babies. Parents looked on as the babies slept, cozy in their stockings, and in one case a Santa suit.
Sanford staff says the annual tradition is a way to spread joy to those spending time at the hospital during the holidays.
“It’s so much fun. It’s so fun,” said Sanford Family Birth Center Director Jackee Haak. “Actually, one of the families when we asked if they’d be willing to participate, they were so excited because they’re like, ‘We’ve never been able to participate before. Our kids were always born around that.’ So they were pretty excited.”
Once Christmas is over, Sanford Health will announce when they deliver their first baby of the new year.
