FARGO (KFGO) – A West Fargo man has been convicted of sexually abusing a young girl.
Nicolas Wika was charged with three counts of gross sexual imposition of a victim under 15-years-old. A felony jury trial concluded on Friday, Dec. 5 and Wika was found guilty on all three counts.
Wika was arrested in July after detectives executed a search warrant. According to court documents, the investigation started after someone contacted police saying a 7-year-old child was afraid to be in the same room with Wika.
Officers worked with the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center to provide services to the victim.
Wika remains in custody following his conviction and will be sentenced at a later date.
