FARGO (KFGO) – The annual Holiday Lights Parade is happening in downtown Fargo and Moorhead on Saturday, Dec. 6. The parade starts in Moorhead and then crosses the Red River into Fargo.
Westbound traffic on Center Ave. in Moorhead from 6th St. N. to the Red River Bridge will close at 4:30 p.m. so the floats can start lining up.
A full closure of Center Ave. from 8th St. N. to the bridge will begin at 6 p.m. and remain in place until the parade moves into Fargo.
Large floats should enter the staging area at 8th St. and Center Ave. All other floats will stage in the alley behind Billiards and enter the route from 6th St. N.
In Moorhead, parking will be available at City Hall, the FM Center and the lot north of the Center Ave. bridge between 3rd St. and 4th St. N.
Residents and visitors to downtown Fargo should expect road closures beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
No parking will be allowed along the parade route from 4 to 9 p.m. That includes NP Avenue from the Red River to Broadway, on Broadway from NP Ave. to 4th Ave. N., and 4th Ave. will be closed from Broadway to 5th St. N.
Any vehicles parked in these areas after 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, will be towed at the owner’s expense.
The parade starts at 6:30 p.m.
