Judge Renee Worke (Steele County Detention Center)
OWATONNA, Minn. (KFGO/LEARFIELD) – A Minnesota Court of Appeals judge is facing a drunken-driving charge after crashing her car into a snowbank.
Deputies in Steele County say Renee Worke, 67, of Owatonna, struck a snowbank near the I-35 overpass in Owatonna last Saturday night. A deputy said Worke had glossy eyes and slurred speech. She told deputies she was returning from visiting friends in Waseca and said she drank one glass of wine about two hours earlier.
A breath sample taken at the jail indicated a blood alcohol content level of .16, twice Minnesota’s legal limit for driving.
