Tyrque Jones Hennepin County Jail Dec. 3, 2025
FARGO (KFGO) – The law enforcement search for a Fargo man wanted in a Fargo murder is over.
Police confirm that Tyrque Jones, 20, is in the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis. Records show he was booked into the jail shortly before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jones was taken into custody by officers with the U.S. Marshal’s Service North Star Fugitive Task Force.
A warrant had been issued for Jones shortly after the August 3 shooting outside District 64, a downtown bar.
19-year-old Azeem Holmes was shot and killed and two other men were wounded. Police had said that Jones should be considered armed and dangerous.
Not long after the downtown shooting, West Fargo police responded to an apartment complex in southwest Fargo for another shooting. 20-year-old Elijah Hughes died in that shooting. A Jamestown man is charged with murder in the shooting of Hughes.
