Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson
MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson is a candidate for the Minnesota legislature.
She’s running as a Democrat for the District 4A House seat. Carlson made the announcement Monday afternoon in Moorhead.
Democratic representative Heather Keeler is not seeking another term in the legislature and instead hopes to receive the party’s nomination to challenge 7th Republican representative Michelle Fischbach next November.
Carlson was elected to the Moorhead City Council in 2018 and appointed mayor three years later. She was elected to a four-year term in 2022.
