LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (KFGO) – A Minnesota state patrol lieutenant has been charged with fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct in Morrison County District Court after a trooper reported that she was assaulted at a training session at Camp Ripley in early August.
Lieutenant Jacob Christopherson, 30, is accused of groping the trooper several times while the two were off-duty and around a fire pit. The woman says Christopherson approached her, sat much closer than necessary, and made comments that were out of character for their usually professional relationship.
The complaint describes Christopherson as later stumbling and running into objects and touching the inappropriately. Christopherson is on administrative leave. He’s scheduled to appear in court early next month.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension conducted the investigation.
