Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski and Capt. Matt Christensen update public on fatal shooting.
FARGO (KFGO) – A 28-year-old Fargo man was shot and killed Monday night and the search is underway for a suspect or suspects.
Police have identified the victim as Nadin Khoury. Police responded to an apartment in the 2700 block of 41st Street S. at about 9:30 p.m. and found Khoury in a stairwell with multiple gunshot wounds. Bystanders tried to help Khoury until officers, fire fighters and Sanford Ambulance took over life-saving attempts.
Khoury died at a hospital about 45 minutes later. A gun has not been recovered, but several bullet casings were found.
The shooting is not believed to be random and may be connected to a shots-fired call last Friday night at an apartment complex south of the Microsoft campus in south Fargo.
Police say they have identified several people of interest, but do not have a specific suspect or suspects. However, they are looking for a black male who was wearing a black shirt and gray sweat-pants.
Capt. Matt Christensen said the victim and suspect or suspects knew one another.
Police Chief Dave Zibolski says Khoury had a pregnant wife.
