WILLMAR, Minn. – A Willmar man is hospitalized after a chase and crash Thursday night that started as a poaching complaint.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Department received a report that someone had shot a deer from a pickup northeast of New London.
A deputy and DNR Conservation officer responded and they spotted the pickup driving past them at high speed, without its lights on. They tried to stop the pickup, which was traveling at speeds up to 100 mph, before the truck went off the road and rolled several times.
The driver was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
