FARGO (KFGO) — A Fargo woman has changed her plea to guilty after she was charged for embezzling money from her former employer.
Alexis Engelking was sentenced to three years in prison but will serve 30 days in jail and 18 months of probation.
Engelking was employed by Salon Professional Academy. Co-owner Jodi Brown told detectives she had approved a $12,000 private loan so Engelking could close on a new house, but Engelking issued herself two- $12,000 payments.
Engelking used one of the payments to pay back money she stole while working at Fargo Linoleum. She was sentenced to five days in jail in that case.
