WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. (KFGO) – A man who was attending White Bear Lake High School has been arrested.
The school district says the 22-year-old man used false documentation to enroll.
The superintendent says the man followed the enrollment process, which is as rigorous as state law allows. The man posed as a 17-year-old and was on the high school football team. As a member of the team, he was in the locker room. He was arrested on charges of suspicion of theft and indecent exposure and taken to the Anoka County Jail.
A Republican state representative whose district includes White Bear Lake has called for the immediate resignation of the superintendent. He says not verifying the man’s age was a catastrophic lapse in basic enrollment verification protocols.
