ST. PAUL, Minn. – A new statewide poll shows 60% of Minnesota voters believe the state Legislature should take immediate action to ban assault weapons.
The poll was taken two weeks after the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School. Other numbers show 88% of Minnesotans are concerned about children being harmed in mass shootings, including 79% of Republicans.
The survey was conducted by Everytown for Gun Safety and included 800 likely voters from Minnesota for the upcoming 2026 elections.
