ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – A majority of Minnesota voters support calling a special session of the legislature to address gun violence.
According to a KSTP/SurveyUSA Poll, 58% are in favor of lawmakers reconvening in St. Paul, while 28% do not support a special session. Support varies sharply by political affiliation. 86% of Democrats back the special session, compared to 43% of Republicans.
The poll also shows strong public support for an assault weapons ban, with most voters in favor of such legislation.
