MINNEAPOLIS – One person is dead after a duplex fire Wednesday night in northeast Minneapolis.
Firefighters saw heavy smoke showing from the first and second floors of the residence. Crews were able to extinguish the flames and later located a man dead on the first floor. No other injuries are reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting three other occupants. Officials say this is the third fire fatality of the year in Minneapolis.
