GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Grand Forks police are investigating the death of a female whose body was found in the Red River shortly before 12:30 Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the Riverside Dam boat ramp on a report of a deceased female in the water, approximately 200 yards north of the boat ramp on the west side riverbank.
A passerby who notified law enforcement remained at the scene. Officers met with that person. The victim’s identity is unknown. The investigation remains ongoing.
Personnel from the fire department, Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office, Regional UAS Team, Grand Forks Water Rescue Team, and an Altru Ambulance crew responded and
assisted with the death investigation.
