MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) – A Minot man is facing felony charges after accidentally firing a rifle inside his house and shooting a neighbor who was out for a walk.
Minot Police responded to the home Thursday after a report of a man with a gunshot wound. The 50-year-old neighbor was on the sidewalk when he was hit by the bullet that went through the front door of the house.
Officers began life-saving efforts on the front lawn and the victim was taken to Trinity Hospital with serious injuries. Police say he is in stable condition.
Jesse Cureton, 38, is being held in the ward county jail on an aggravated assault charge.
