CHARLOTTE, N.C. (KFGO) – The Vikings are expressing an interest in trading for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen, a Detroit Lakes native. Multiple sources are reporting the potential trade.
Thielen, who turned 35 Friday, spent the first decade of his career with the Vikings before signing with the Panthers in 2023. Thielen missed seven games due to injury last season, but still led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns. He finished second on the team in receptions with 49.
The 12-year pro restructured his contract after considering retirement during the offseason.
Vikings receiver Jordan Addison will serve a three-game suspension to start the season for violating NFL rules following his arrest for drunken driving in Los Angeles last summer.
