HANKINSON, N.D. (KFGO) – A severe thunderstorm in northeastern South Dakota and southeastern North Dakota produced a tornado late Thursday afternoon prompting tornado warnings from National Weather Service offices in Aberdeen and Grand Forks.
The twister was detected on radar and by weather spotters. The thunderstorm weakened below severe limits and the tornado warning was allowed to expire.
Richland County Emergency Manager Brett Lambrecht posted to social media saying no one was hurt and no homes were damaged, but there is a lot of tree, and bean and corn crop damage.
