FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police are investigating separate shootings early Sunday that left two people injured and two dead.
The shootings were reported a half-hour apart.
Fargo Police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect in the shooting just before 2 a.m. in the 50 block of Broadway N. outside District 64 nightclub where three people were shot and injured.
Police say 20 year-old Tyrque Jones of Fargo has been identified as the suspect and are asking anyone with information regarding his location to contact the Fargo Police Department. If you see jones, do not approach or attempt to apprehend him. Instead, call police immediately and provide as much detail as possible, including location, direction of travel, clothing description, or anyone he may be with.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another is in critical condition. A third victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The second report of gunshots came in just before 2:30 a.m.
Officers were called to the 4700 block of 16th Avenue S. There, officers say one person was shot and killed.
West Fargo Police was called to assist with that shooting due to the ongoing investigation downtown.
Police do not know if the shootings are related. They believe there is no threat to the public.
Jones is not thought to be a suspect
Moorhead Police, West Fargo Police, NDSU Police, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Dakota Highway Patrol all assisted Fargo Police.
