
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – The University of North Dakota will conduct a long-range drone flight to demonstrate how the technology can connect rural areas of the state.
The flight is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 24.
An iSight drone operated on the Vantis network will take off from Williston and fly to Watford City.
This is a part of Project Rural Reach which demonstrates how unmanned aircraft can transport items such as medical supplies to more remote areas.
The flight is expected to take about an hour.
