WEST FARGO (KFGO) – West Fargo Police say a Moorhead man was arrested after officers initiated a traffic stop near the 500 block of 32nd Avenue E. after receiving multiple reports of an intoxicated driver shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday.
The driver of the vehicle fled after law enforcement attempted the traffic stop and a pursuit began. The driver fled westbound on 32nd Avenue E. toward the diversion where spike strips were successfully deployed near the intersection of 32nd Avenue E. and Sheyenne Street. The driver continued to flee westbound, where a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) was successfully executed near the diversion.
Alan Steven Walker, 30, was arrested for felony fleeing a peace officer, felony driving under the influence, felony driving under the influence – refusal and driving under suspension.
There were no injuries to emergency personnel, suspects or bystanders. The suspect vehicle was impounded.
