(KNFL/KFGO) – The Redhawks started a 3 game weekend series with the Kansas City Monarchs after winning a 4 game series against Kansas City at Newman Outdoor Field earlier this week. It would end up being a big day for veteran Dillon Thomas.

But, in the top of the 3rd, Dillon Thomas would get a solo home run to get Fargo-Moorhead on the board. Then, Aiden Byrne would tie the game in the top of the 8th with an RBI single. It would be a tie game going into the top of the 9th, where Dillon Thomas gave the Redhawks their first lead, with a 2-run home run, to make it 4-2. Dillon Thomas would have 2 homers, along with 3 hits, and 3 RBIs.
The winning pitcher was Kyle Johnston in relief for Fargo-Moorhead. The losing pitcher was Josh Bortka in relief for Kansas City. Kolby Kiser, the starter for Fargo-Moorhead, would be given the no-decision, despite only giving up 2 earned runs in 5 innings.
