RYDER, N.D. (KFGO) The Ward County Sheriff’s Department and Ryder Rural Fire department responded to a report of a grass fire at a rural farm near Ryder on Sunday where the the blaze spread quickly to a nearby barn which was soon fully engulfed.
A California man, formerly of Ryder, along with other family members, were battling the grass fire when the barn collapsed on him and he was killed. His name has not been released.
