
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) — North Dakota law enforcement officers handed out over 4,000 total citations in the latest Click It or Ticket campaign.
Between May 1st and June 2nd, officers wrote over 28-hundred citations for seat belt violations and 38 for child restraint violations. Officers also found 133 uninsured drivers and 122 driving with revoked or suspended licenses. 15 people were cited for distracted driving.
Officers made five drug-related arrests and five for DUI. They also served 17 warrants. NDDOT says in 2024, 47% of people who died in crashes where seat belts were available were not buckled.
