
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – A Grand Forks man was sentenced to eight years for attempted murder.
According to court records, 28-year-old Alexander Thompson choked a coworker with his hands, then with an extension cord.
The legal documents said that while choking the man, Thompson said, “I’m going to kill you.” Several individuals had to get involved before Thompson freed the coworker.
While in prison, Thompson must complete an anger management evaluation and follow through with any recommendations.
Upon his release, he will be on supervised probation for a period of two years.
