FARGO (KFGO) – Phase 1 of the 32nd Avenue South improvement project, which included full reconstruction of the section between west of 15th Street
South and east of 17th Street, is officially complete.
While it marks a major milestone in the reconstruction of one of Fargo’s key corridors, the outside lanes between west of 15th Street and east of 17th Street will stay temporarily closed. Traffic controls will remain in place. The lanes are expected to reopen fully by the end of the week.
Pedestrian routes through this area are now open, and all businesses within the improvement zone remain accessible to the public from 15th Street.
Phase 2 of the project, which includes 17th Street through 18th Street, is ongoing.
The 32nd Avenue South Reconstruction Project, which began in mid-April 2023, is expected to continue until 2026. The project is designed to enhance crucial
underground infrastructure and transportation efficiencies.
The primary contractor is Dakota Underground Construction.
