FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO) – Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while putting out a house fire in Fergus Falls on Tuesday.
Fire crews responded to the fire after receiving a report from a passerby at about 12:45 p.m. When firefighters arrived, smoke came from the eaves of both the first and second floors.
Division Chief Dan Lipson says crews checked the house for victims, extinguished the fire, and completed an overhaul of the area damaged by the fire, which was contained to the back of the house.
There was also smoke damage throughout the house, with damage estimated at $50,000.
The home was unoccupied at the time. Investigators determined that an electrical issue caused the fire.
