Jacob was born on July 7, 1995, in Spokane, Washington, to Sharla (Rausch) Lidberg and Craig Thiel. He graduated from Pierz Healy High School with the Class of 2014, where he made lifelong friends who became like family. Jacob had a special gift for bringing people together and could always make those around him smile and laugh with his goofy humor and caring ways. After high school, Jacob ventured out and eventually settled in Fargo, North Dakota, with his best friend, Richard Forbes. In 2016, while working at McDonald’s, he met the love of his life and forever best friend, Santasia Hill. Together, they built a beautiful life, welcoming their first child, Willow, in 2021, and their second child, Ashton, in 2023. Jacob’s children and fiancée were the light of his life. He was a devoted and proud father who worked hard to provide for his family, always putting his kids first and cherishing every moment spent making memories with them. Jacob loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed disc golf, attending concerts, playing video games, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks, and hanging out with his brothers and sisters. He later moved to Mooreton, North Dakota, where he worked at MINDAC and later at WCCO as a press operator. In each place he lived and worked, Jacob made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Jacob never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His thoughtful nature and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to call him a friend or family member.
