FARGO (KFGO) – A northeastern North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for a drunken driving crash that killed a man on the Spirit Lake Reservation.
Ryan Guy, 46, of St. Michael was driving a car that rolled in February of 2022. Guy’s passenger died in the crash.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Guy’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the limit for driving.
He will be on three years of supervised probation after his release. Guy was also ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution. Guy was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Peter Welte in Fargo.
