Boa constrictor killed after being hit by vehicle northwest of Twin Cities

BIG LAKE, Minn. (KFGO) – Big Lake Police northwest of the Twin Cities say it’s a first for their department.  

Someone ran over a boa constrictor on a highway.  

Officer Caleb Swatsky says when his fellow officers texted him a photo of the snake, he thought it was a joke. The snake did not survive.  

Swatsky says he thinks it might have escaped from someone’s home.
