Joshua Klimek (Otter Tail Co. Detention Facility)
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO KBRF) – A Fargo man has been convicted in Fergus Falls for messaging a teenage girl in Otter Tail County in a sexual manner.
Joshua Jerome Klimek, 43, has been found guilty of two counts of soliciting a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual conduct through Facebook Messenger.
Otter Tail County prosecutors say in December 2023, Klimek sent explicit videos of himself to the victim and when she messaged back saying she was 14, he continued to message her and urged her to accept his friend request. The messages in the criminal complaint said Klimek had briefly met the victim and knew who she was before messaging her.
Klimek was sentenced to 45 days in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility and placed on probation for five years.
