FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Cass Public Health will host a measles, mumps and rubella walk-in vaccine clinic on Thursday, May 15, from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The clinic will be held at the main FCPH building at 1240 25th Street South in Fargo. It is a walk-in clinic and appointments are not necessary. The MMR vaccine will be available for those currently recommended to receive the vaccine. Entry into the clinic will take place on the south side of the building, through the west door.
Individuals who plan to attend should bring their insurance information. For those who may not have health insurance, the MMR vaccine is covered under both the Vaccines for Children and the Vaccines for Adults programs, meaning there is minimal cost to receive the vaccine.
Anyone who has symptoms consistent with measles or who have had a known exposure should contact their healthcare provider for guidance and recommendations. Cass County confirmed 2 cases of measles late last week. They were in people who had recently traveled overseas.
Nine other measles cases have been confirmed in Williams County in the western part of the state.
