
EMILY, Minn. (KFGO) – An investigation is underway after one person was killed after a school bus caught fire in Crow Wing County.
The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. Friday afternoon in rural Emily. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says the bus and surrounding vegetation were on fire. One person was found dead inside the school bus. Their name and age have not been released.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, Emily Fire Department, Crosslake Fire Department, DNR Forestry, Emily First Responders, Crosby Ambulance, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office all responded.
