THOMPSON, N.D. (KFGO) – The State Patrol has released the name of a woman who was killed in a wrong-way, two vehicle crash on I-29 about 2 1/2 miles north of Thompson on Monday afternoon.
She was 83-year-old Judy Rusten of Aneta.
Rusten was going south in the northbound lanes of the interstate. The SUV she was driving collided with a pickup driven by 42-year-old Joshua Bedard of Grand Forks. Bedard was taken to Altru Hospital with serious injuries.
The patrol says Rusten was not wearing a seatbelt.
The northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for about two hours.
