MOORHEAD (KFGO) – A Fargo man is in the Clay County jail and being held on a number of charges after being accused of trying to break into cars and apartment units in Moorhead.
Moorhead police say officers responded to the 2700 block of 12th Street S. around 3:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man throwing rocks at cars and possibly trying to break into vehicles.
When officers arrived, more calls came in with witnesses saying a man followed someone into an apartment building nearby and tried breaking into multiple units. Officers determined it was the same person, identified as 22-year-old Artez Walker.
The walker ran, but officers caught him.
Walker was arrested for open warrants of trying to break into vehicles and using personal information without authorization in Cass County. He is also facing charges of damage to property, drug possession, fleeing, obstruction, tampering with a vehicle, and trespass.
