MOORHEAD (KFGO KVRR) – Churches United’s new Silver Lining Apartments are a month away from allowing tenants who once didn’t have a place to live to move into their new homes.
The 55 and up apartments are located northwest of the intersection at 34th Street North and 3rd Avenue Northwest.
Right across from the Bright Sky Apartments, it will be the second supportive housing complex that Churches United has provided. The building will have 36 units, 20 of which will be single bedrooms, and eight will include space for people to gather and connect.
Pastor Devlyn Brooks said, “We really think this is a special building for its specific purpose here in our community, you know, it is specifically designed as supportive housing for fifty-five and plus. And so we think that that’s going to make a huge impact in helping to reduce homelessness here in Fargo-Moorhead.”
Churches United is hoping to receive donations to help tenants move in.
Leases for the apartments are still available.
