
HANCOCK, Minn. (KFGO) – A Morris man was killed when the SUV he was driving and a BNSF train collided near a State Highway 9 intersection.
The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday near Hancock.
The SUV, driven by 49-year-old Edgar Rios, was headed east when the collision took place. Rios died at the scene. The sheriff’s office and State Patrol are investigating.
Hancock First Responders and firefighters, The Morris Fire Department, Stevens County Ambulance, Life Link medical helicopter and deputies from Swift and Pope County responded to the call.
