Investigation closed into pair of recent school bus fires in Fargo

FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says the investigation into two school bus fires at Valley Bus Company late last month are closed.

Erickson says the first fire, on March 27, started below the dash of a bus near the steering column from an undetermined cause. The second fire, which destroyed a bus in the early morning of March 28, was traced to the electrical system of a bus, due to some type of failure.

The buses are owned by Valley Bus and were parked on property owned by the company in south Fargo.
