James Laducer (Grand Forks County Jail)
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Grand Forks man is sentenced to five years in prison after changing his plea to guilty to endangering by fire.
37-year-old James Laducer was arrested last October after police responded to a domestic violence call.
When they arrived, they noticed smoke coming from the home and a man partially hanging out of a window.
They learned that Laducer had a fight with the victim and then began lighting objects inside the home on fire.
The victim and two children were already outside when officers arrived.
A trial was called off since he changed his plea.
Laducer was also given credit for time served for a charge of domestic violence.
