BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO/Prairie Public) – State Rep. Jim Kasper of Fargo is hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
The update was shared on social media by the North Dakota District 46 Republicans. It says Kapser is surrounded by family and friends.
Kasper was admitted to a Bismarck hospital Wednesday morning.
The chaplain of the day prayed for him on the House floor. District 46 Republicans are asking people to pray for Kasper, his wife Sandy, and their family.
Kasper’s conference committee assignments have been given to other Republican members.
The 79-year-old Republican was first elected to the legislature in 2001 in District 46, covering a southeast section of Fargo.
