GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. – The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has released the name of the teenage girl killed in a high-speed police chase and crash Sunday morning in Itasca County.
The driver was 13-year-old Angelica Bryan of Cass Lake.
Investigators say a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle because its headlights were not on, but the driver failed to stop. The vehicle reached speeds over 90 miles per hour before going off Highway 6 and crashing into a tree.
Bryan died at the scene.
The vehicle was reported stolen that night from a home in Cohasset.
