Senator Nicole Mitchell
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) — Minnesota Sen. Steve Drazkowski of Mazeppa has filed a conflict of interest complaint against fellow Sen. Nicole Mitchell of Woodbury.
The Republican says the Democrat Mitchell voted on a matter that directly impacted her income and continued employment. Mitchell took part in a Senate vote on Jan. 27 to uphold a ruling by the presiding officer against a motion to expel the senator.
Mitchell is set to stand trial in June for breaking into her stepmother’s home in Detroit Lakes a year ago.
Drazkowski filed his complaint with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board, and is asking them to determine if her vote was a conflict of interest under Minnesota law.
