WASHINGTON (KFGO) – The U.S. Air Force is asking for the public’s help locating an airman who they say is fleeing prosecution.
The Air Force says Brandon Standifer, 27, is suspected of possessing and distributing child sex abuse materials. Charges were being filed for his court marshal when he deserted April 18.
Standifer was last seen on security camera footage at the Bozeman airport in Montana early April 19. His cell phone was last pinged Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
Prior to fleeing, the Air Force says Standifer expressed suicidal ideations and wrote about planning to go hiking and jump off a cliff.
