MOORHEAD (KFGO) – A driver was arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail following a brief pursuit east of Moorhead Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Mark Empting says deputies and the State Patrol were tracking a stolen car that was wanted for a burglary in Anoka, Minnesota.
Empting says the driver spotted a deputy near mile marker 12 on I-94 and accelerated. Two sets of stop sticks were used and tires on the car deflated. The chase ended when the driver stopped on State Highway 336.
The driver ran but was caught a short time later with the assistance of Clay County K9 Cash.
Two passengers were released.
