GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. – A teenage girl is dead after leading Itasca County authorities on a chase early Sunday morning.
Investigators say a deputy spotted the car without its headlights on and tried to stop the suspect vehicle, but the driver fled the scene.
The pursuit continued until the vehicle crashed near Highway 6 and County Road 11 near Cohasset.
The girl died at the scene and was not wearing a seatbelt.
