Brendon Parsley (Lake Region Correctional Center)
LAKOTA, N.D. (KFGO) – Charges have been re-filed against A long-time teacher, coach and school counselor in the Dakota Prairie School District in northeastern North Dakota.
Brandon Parsley has been charged again with solicitation of a minor, luring by computer and sexual assault.
Parsley had first been charged February 2024, but charges were dropped on June 21, 2024. Charges were filed again April 16, 2025, and a judge approved them Monday.
A report from the North Dakota BCI alleges Parsley sexually assaulted two girls while he was a counselor at Dakota Prairie. He also allegedly had sexual conversations with the girls on Facebook. He told one of the victims he would commit suicide or self-harm if she would not talk to him. That girl told investigators Parsley “manipulated and wrecked” many years of her life.
The state dropped the first case against Parsley because one charge was improperly filed as a felony. Parsley is now charged with felony sexual assault of a minor, felony luring minors online, and misdemeanor solicitation of a minor over 15.
