FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Schools Superintendent Rupak Gandhi has informed the school board he would like to leave the district earlier than originally planned.
Gandhi has requested his last day as superintendent be moved from June 30 to June 5. Gandhi told school board president Katie Mineer his personal schedule would require him to take time off in June, and would like to resign early.
If the board approves Gandhi’s early resignation, Dr. Robert Grosz would be interim superintendent until Dr. Cory Steiner starts July 1.
Mineer recommends the board accept Gandhi’s early resignation. Mineer also will ask the board to allow Steiner to work eight paid days in June to become acquainted with the district.
The full school board will take action at its next meeting on Tuesday.
